Hi there, is there a programme out there that's accessible which can record skype calls? just wanted to know.
Yes, several. The one I use is total recorder.. Lisa and I did a podcast on it on www.blindcooltech.com so you can even hear the quality and get more info if you like.
My friend uses sound recorder. The only trouble with that is you can only record parts of the call because the sound recorder only lets you record for a couple lof minutes.
sim-on, do you have a download link for the total recorder?
and does it work for skype 3.0
yes, and yes:
http://www.totalrecorder.com/downloads.htm
I use pamela call recorder from www.pamcorder.com
The free version records 15 minutes per call and when you buy a lisence it is unlimited. But the options dialogue box is not very good and you need to use mouse simulations to use it. I might give total recorder a try as well.
I have also used Total Recorder. It's very versatile and lets you make wav, mp3 or other format files of your calls. It will actually record any sound made or received by your sound card (so is the equivalent of holding a mic up to your speakers but without loss) so can record podcasts, audio from DVD etc. It also lets you configure which card and channels to use as well as allowing time-shifted recordings.
I was using powergrammo - or somthing like that I don't remeber name exactly.
google for it, but it's good.
It'¨s tial, and after some period, it'll annoi you with registration boy wirh windows.
But:
It adds eyxtra menu to skype. It can be used as very sofisticated answer machine. You can share music with callers and you can select if you want to record only you, or only other person or both. You can export records to wav or ogg and there are recent updates.
The calls menu isn't such accessible, but I used windowexyes mouse and it was enough.
Try and report.
everytime it starts w
